Supplement 2: Desk Manual

A desk manual may be created for a complicated position when a job description is insufficient. It is highly recommended that you create a Desk Manual for your successor if you are leaving a complicated position due to retirement, promotion, or career change. The Desk Manual should not be created in lieu of a company's employee manual, but as an addition for this particular position.
